We recently bought a new sofa after the old one barely lasted a year of being sat on (that teaches us for buying a cheap sofa…) which can only mean one thing; Tali has something else to sleep on and hog with her elongated sleeping habits.

Feminist Frequency - Tropes vs. Women: #1 The Manic Pixie Dream Girl

Are you somehow trying to say that the female archetype portrayed here is sexist, but that the male one (that of a ‘usually white, definitely straight male hero loosen up and enjoy life’ whom is more often than not an uptight working stiff with a history of failed relationships)

personally i’d rather be portrayed as a loving, supportive, caring person whom has the ability to more or less ‘fix’ someones life. beats being the uptight 9-5 working stiff who needs saving in the first place.

though i do completely agree with this. Movie character roles are more often than not, horribly predictable and are as easily mass classified into such terms as ‘manic pixie dream girl’
